Our Commitment

/ Inspired by this beautiful archipelago, we are committed to the well-being of this place and its people.

About Greywacke

/ The English Lake District, where we have spent much time together, holds a special place in both our hearts. Learning that the Lakes shares the same geology with the San Juans, explained the connection we have always felt here.

When we walk the Greywacke trail on Mt. Grant, it's easy to imagine we are walking on the mossy slabs of Orrest Head, above Lake Windermere.

About Us

  • I am a Creative Director and Designer based in Friday Harbor, Washington, with deep expertise in visual communication and brand strategy. In 2007, I co-founded Swift, a strategic creative agency in Portland, Oregon. As a female-led company with a leadership team that was 65% women, Swift helped shift the industry’s gender balance and was recognized as Ad Age's Small Agency of the Year in 2014.

At Swift, I built a creative team, established a content studio, and led creative work for brands including Starbucks, Google, Nestlé, adidas, and YouTube. My contributions to the industry were recognized in 2017 by Adweek, which named me one of the "37 Women Who Are Disrupting the Status Quo and Championing Gender Diversity in Advertising and Tech," and by Business Insider as one of the "Most Creative Women in Advertising."

After Swift’s acquisition by WPP, I shifted my focus to cause-driven organizations, using my experience to support initiatives that drive positive change for people and the planet.

  • I am a Creative Director, Brand Strategist, and Communications Leader with experience across agencies in London, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Boston, Seattle, and Portland. As Chief Creative Officer for the global digital agency POSSIBLE, I led creative teams across 12 countries and oversaw a full agency rebrand, including the development of CoLab, a proprietary social network featured in Fast Company.

Throughout my career, I have worked with brands including Tazo Tea, National Geographic, Morgans Hotel Group, Apple, Encyclopedia Britannica, Konica, Nintendo, and Paramount Pictures. My work has been recognized by Communication Arts, The One Show, D&AD, The Art Directors Club, Print, and Creative Review magazine, and I have received a U.S. patent for packaging design. I have also served as a judge for the Communication Arts Interactive Awards, and my work has been published by the Japanese Typographic Association.

The most rewarding part of my career has been mentoring teams and fostering creative growth. Now based in Friday Harbor, I focus on supporting nonprofits that align with my values, drawing daily inspiration from the beauty of the San Juan Islands.
